The way this team is playing, it certainly looks like this team is headed to a first round exit. We saw this happen with the Heat afer they won. The rebounding issues are real. The offensive woes are real. KG and PP are a shadow of their old selves and may never get back to being stars. In the case of KG, I think it is pretty much fact.

Come next year, I think Danny should make the tough decisions he has been talking about all along. I am not quite sure what the best decision will be but they should be based solely on starting the rebuilding process. He should try his best to trade PP next year. Perhaps if he shows enough, a contender will want him for the stretch run? If they can't trade him, I would let him walk. KG should go the year after, though by then he may not be much.

This doesn't mean I won't be a fan. I will still watch the games. I will still cheer them on. And I will hope. I just think I will not get as upset and I certainly won't be surprised with anything that happens.

All that said, I would never look back at the trades. Championships don't grow on trees and no matter what, nobody can ever take back 2008. And if you want to look back at what might have been, just look at the TWolves. They took all of our good young players, added their own young players, and they still stink.
