Good three point shooter (at least when he was with the Hornets this year) and a nice FT shooter.  Is he worth a look?  Could he spell PP even though he is only 6'5" and 210?

Thoughts?

I think that someone mentioned him before the trade deadline.

PP is a tough word to spell.

We don't need anyone to spell Pierce or Ray some minutes. Daniels and Tony are doing a good at it, and Nate is coming along.

Pierce is only playing 35 minutes this season. He's just fine in that department.

Just to clarify the title makes it sound like it's a done deal, but in the article it clearly says that it' s not a sure thing.

PP is a tough word to spell.

Until we win a few games, we need all the humor we can get around here.

Not a rotation player. Not an upgrade over Daniels or TA.

A solid insurance policy for either player. A fifth wing in the depth chart.

I would prefer someone with a more reliable jump shot though. Brown is highly inconsistent with his jumper.

The fifth wing in the rotation is the least problem right now. This team has to concentrate on putting its act together.

I know Who.  Who needs a guy that is shooting over 35% from three point range and 80% at the line when we have TA shooting 0% from three and less than 62% at the line?????  Who needs a guy like Devin Brown then we have Marquis Daniels shooting about 21% from long distance and 62% at the line??????

Come on.  Clearly, Devin brings skills that both of those do NOT have!!!

Sure, he won't be a top 7 rotation guy, but can we realistically expect that from a buyout??

Everyone is talking about wings being bought out.  It's not the issue!  Our issue has been our big man.  Getting someone like Devin Brown isn't going to help us out at all.  We need a guy like PJ Brown to get bought out.  A guy that's 6'11, plays good defense, rebounds well, and is serviceable offensively.  That's what this team needs, unfortunately, I don't see a player like that getting bought out.
do it

Devin Brown shot 28.9% and 30.8% from three point range in his two previous seasons.

He is a hugely inconsistent jump shooter from both two point range and three point range. That is part of the reason why he has moved around so much (along with scoring efficiency + mediocre play in non-scoring areas).

Consequently, I'm not comfortable depending on him as a jump shooter.

I would defitnaly take a chance on Brown. Can shoot the three. He isn't going to be our number one option so why not.
