With our team now at %100 and past the trade deadline, it matches up pretty well against the 0708 team.

Rondo/Nate  vs     Rondo/Cassell/House
Ray/Tony   vs      Ray/Tony
Pierce/Quis  vs    Pierce/Posey
KG/BBD/Scal  vs    KG/BBD/Scal
Perk/Sheed/Shel vs Perk/PJ/Pollard

Aside from age, these teams match up pretty well on paper. And given full strength and EFFORT, this year's team should win. The only thing that I feel this team lacks, is strictly a shooter off the bench. That's where a player like Finley comes in. He has the length to play against backup SFs, but his has the shooting touch and vet exp to make a difference for us in the playoffs.
Some might argue minutes are limited, but like Nate, Finley only needs 15 minutes or so to put up clutch 3's and layups like Posey did for us. I thought the best thing about our championship team then was the versatility of lineups that Doc could throw out there and ridiculously spread the floor without sacrificing on D. And so what if Quis or Tony have to fight for minutes b/c they both have put up similar numbers(besides Tony's TOs, which is why I yell at my TV,"Turnover Tony, PASS THE BALL!"
Love this team. Go Celtics. If we miss it this year, then Go Mavs!<-Next best option since I have the Cavs and Lakers.

I'd give it to the 08 team purely on account of KG's dominance at the time.

But not to mention, Powe was also there and playing some incredible ball, and Posey's D (and charges) were underrated. When's the last time the C's took a charge??

PP takes good charges bfore being injured, and now Glenn is starting to know how to take good charges as well...The guy I want to learn how to take em is Sheed , he won't do it coz he is never known to do it in the past but everytime he slides past a slasher who get by his man, Sheed always comes up with a foul..it would be interesting if he can just take the charge coz he ain't got no lift to block shots anymore.
