The Good: I can now identify exactly what the problem is. It doesn't matter if Ray is having an off night, or if Pierce can't finish at the rim. I watched the Kings miss 3 or 4 straight shots, and i watch the C's come down and turn the ball over 3 or 4 straight times. TURNOVERS ARE THE PROBLEM. EMPTY POSSESSIONS ARE THE PROBLEM. This team does not rebound well enough to make up for lost possessions caused by turnovers. When turnovers stop, things will get better i assure you.

The Bad: Isolation plays. Nobody on this team is capable of going one-on-one. Pierce is the best of the bunch, but whenever he goes one-on-one the result isn't good either. If Doc abandons all isolation plays the team will be better off.

Turnovers have always been an issue for this team, even in '08.  As you noted yourself, rebounding is the real culprit.  In '08 our rebounding was good enough to make up for the turnovers.  Now we're a bad rebounding team, so the turnovers hurt a lot more.

Congrats on 3000 posts! And yeah, either this team has to stop the turnovers dead in their tracks, or they have to figure out a lineup that rebounds the ball better and creates more possessions to make up for the turnovers. If they fix neither, they're in trouble.

Well this game answered lots of questions for realistic C's fans.  Nothing has changed at all coming out of the break.

KG can't run, jump or finish inside anymore.
Perk has lost it and can't finish inside anymore.
Pierce should have rested instead of going all out All Star weekend.
Rondo just had a bad game hopefully.
Ray can't hit open 3 pointers consistently anymore.

Basically the starters were largely ineffective.  They can't sustain any energy or score effectively in crunch time.  The C's can't build leads or hold onto them in the second half of games.

It's painfully obvious that this team which now has a full roster available to play is not getting better.  They have no shot to advance in the playoffs without a major change.  It looks like a definite first or second round exit barring a miraculous turnaround.

So fans that don't agree with you aren't "realistic"? lol...and the Celtics have played what two games with there full roster so far? I think I'll wait a few more weeks before I declare that this team is dead.

i actually think thursday will be a good gage of how and where this team is going...big game...no excuse of overlooking the other team...pretty good rest....full roster available....

I agree whether they are with or without Kobe. Kobe is good but I think we have more trouble stopping bynum than him. Plus it's at the staples.

Side note- i am in LA and hopefully might be scoring some tix. If not i'll be hitting up some boston bar in santa monica- pretty pumped to see this game as a celtics fan in LA

The way this team has been playing if you devalue wins because of the opponent you will make yourself very sad.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

It was Sacramento...

Who recently took both the Cavs and the Lakers to OT... so by that reasoning we should be automatically crowned as Champs.
