The Good: I can now identify exactly what the problem is. It doesn't matter if Ray is having an off night, or if Pierce can't finish at the rim. I watched the Kings miss 3 or 4 straight shots, and i watch the C's come down and turn the ball over 3 or 4 straight times. TURNOVERS ARE THE PROBLEM. EMPTY POSSESSIONS ARE THE PROBLEM. This team does not rebound well enough to make up for lost possessions caused by turnovers. When turnovers stop, things will get better i assure you.
The Bad: Isolation plays. Nobody on this team is capable of going one-on-one. Pierce is the best of the bunch, but whenever he goes one-on-one the result isn't good either. If Doc abandons all isolation plays the team will be better off.
Turnovers have always been an issue for this team, even in '08. As you noted yourself, rebounding is the real culprit. In '08 our rebounding was good enough to make up for the turnovers. Now we're a bad rebounding team, so the turnovers hurt a lot more.
3000 posts!
Congrats on 3000 posts! And yeah, either this team has to stop the turnovers dead in their tracks, or they have to figure out a lineup that rebounds the ball better and creates more possessions to make up for the turnovers. If they fix neither, they're in trouble.
