Paul Pierce took the free throw on the 3 sec technical in last night's game. Ray Allen was on the court at the same time. Was this a result of Ray's 0-2 prior game?

I noticed that during the game too. I have no idea why, but Ray struggled from the line when he was fouled last night late in the game. (struggled being relative to his usual automatic stroke)

Every time I see something like that, I think the team had a FT contest and Paul must have finally won.
