“On the court he’s a competitor,” James said. “He plays hard every second, doesn’t take plays off. He’s a hunting dog. He’s a tough, tough kid. He’ll do whatever he’s got to do to win, whether that’s grab a rebound, whether that’s make a pass, whether that’s take a shot, whether that’s take a charge."

Seems like he would get along with KG ;)

wouldn't be surprised if he makes the team--especially if Eddie opts out.  I wouldn't necessarily keep him over Giddens or Walker.

I think Danny's main goal of drafting him was to push Pruitt this summer to see if Pruitt can finally make the leap to a contributing player.  Pruitt figures to be gone if he can't make that leap to earning some minutes.

If Hudson beats out Pruitt for a spot, more power to him.  If they both make the team, it means Pruitt's finally ready to make a difference and Hudson's got skills.  Based on Danny's picks always being good enough to make the team (Erden doesn't count since he's developing in Europe), I would be surprised if Hudson doesn't open some eyes in Summer League.

Best case for Hudson, he makes the team.  Plays D-league for a little while, shows he can play and gets pencilled in for House's spot next year when Eddie's contract is up.

Count me in as a believer.  Hudson is quite a talent, and I firmly belive that if he was younger and played in a better conference he would have been a first-round pick.  I also like the Vince Carter-esque form on his jumper, which will be very difficult to block.  He reminds me of a smaller Mitch Richmond with PG skills.  In my mind, I think he's got a real shot to supplant Pruitt and actually earn some minutes this year.

I believe that if he beats out Gabe Pruitt this offseason, then he has already exceeded expectations.  He looks intriguing and I am hoping for the best for the kid, however I can't really expect anything from this kid.

Is it true the Orlando Summer League games will not be televised in any way, meaning we cannot watch any of our young prospects this year?

Games will be streamed... pretty sure that Magic's page will have them.

Admittedly I've never seen this guy play but being the 58th pick in this year's draft makes me think Pruitt's probably a lot better than him.  I know we all get excited with Celtic Draft Picks but I'd guess more than 90% of 2nd round picks don't last more than 2 seasons tops.

Nothing personal against the poster, but I feel I needed somewhere to vent that this adoration this guy Hudson is getting is extreme.

With that said I hope I'm 100% wrong and he's in the Rookie Game in February  ;D

In his entire college career (2 seasons) he only scored in the single digits once. He was second this season in scoring, he avg'd 8 rebounds in 2 years as a point guard, and also shared the rock with 4.2 assists a game. The reason's he dropped were his age, background, and competition.... and when a good players goes up against less then worthy competition what do they do? they dominate. which he did. This kid is better than Pruitt. Gabe was a good scorer who played for a big school so he got the benefit of the doubt come draft time.. this kid is a dominating force who just gets doubted becuase his school wasn't big enough.

I had a feeling I'd be back here, mentioning I was right.  Maybe this will serve as a warning to anyone who goes overboard on some late Celtics' draft pick next year lol.  Just chill...
