So I know everyones been big on trading the guys on their last year of the contract, but is it possible that we're going to let the contracts expire and attempt to resign Daniels and Ray Ray with some of that money?  I don't know how the cap would play out, but I was just wondering if it was actually possible the C's could do this.
do it

It's absolutely possible.  The Celtics can't increase their budget every year; at some point, they're going to have to let some money expire.  This may very well be that year.

I think its relatively unlikely they resign Daniels next year, just because it would likely cost them a large portion of the MLE, and I think they will be looking at other players with that money.  Daniels is a great value for the LLE, but when he gets much more than that, his injury history becomes tough to handle.  I think they will be making a strong run after a guy like Travis Outlaw instead.

The question is, will he absolutely get a significant deal?  We can give him a deal for around $2.2 million without having to use the MLE; it's doubtful that he'd be available for that, but you never know.

We need to go after a young athletic 3 who can run the floor with Rondo. Easy buckets.
