Quote
The Golden State Warriors have waived center Mikki Moore, the team announced today. Moore, 34, appeared in 23 games with Golden State this season (20 starts), averaging 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 17.7 minutes. A 12-year NBA veteran, Moore underwent surgery to remove bone spurs in his right heel on December 18.

With today's transaction, Golden State's roster currently stands at 15 players.

I think Danny should cut Walker and go after Mikki Moore, our frontcourt definitely needs a big man who can play D. :P

Makes me very grateful for Rasheed with all of his warts and BBD.

Time to call it a career for Moore. Great over-achiever, turned a season running the floor with Kidd, allowing Jason Collins to defend the post and the guards to rebound and hitting the elbow jumper at an insane rate into a great contract. Bad, bad player, but nice guy and spirited competitor.

He's another guy that makes me ask myself how in the world he's still in the league.  It was kind of odd last year when so many C's fans thought we were getting the shot blocking and rebounding we needed when we picked up Moore.

He can block shots and rebound. It's just that he's an idiot and he doesn't know when to be where.

Moore is out ~3 months with a heel surgery.
