...Last night Gasol flung a King's player to the ground in a blatant non-call on the play he made the tip-in to send the game to a 2nd OT...
I watched the 4th quarter and the OT's.  Kings are a mediocre team that couldn't close it out in regulaton. Evans stupidly tried to take Kobe off the dribble and waited to long to make his move.  (I sure hope Jennings wins the ROY because Evans doesn't look that good to me.) Lakers maintained their composure.  They came back from 7-point deficit with 2 minutes to play, and then closed it out in the 2nd OT.  That's what good teams do, but it was mostly the Kings not knowing how to win.

All true and the Kings blew a similar game against the Cavs too.

Nonetheless, the call should have been made against Gasol and it was obvious. The Kings' player looked like he was shot out of a cannon and it wasn't a flop.

The Celtics are playing at or exceeding the Lakers level but the media's gonna be slow to catch up until these two squads play head up.

And you know we're going to looked at like the Lakers' little ugly brother if they win.

The Lakers are the defending champs and have, arguably, the best player in the league.

The Lakers have the snottiest player in the league. The best player is LeBron.

Because they're LA, they're the defending champions, they have Kobe, etc.

The Lakers are just media darlings and the Celtics aren't.  That's how things are.

And that's how we like it.

Yup, and it really showed the other day, Kobe took about 30 shots and missed a lot, Lebron kicked the ball around and his teammates know to play even when Lebron is not rollin'(not to often that happens).
I really believe we won't be beat in a 7 game series if were healthy and believe me so does every other GM around the league.
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

J.A. Adande (a hack) summed up the retarded media bias in his latest article about how awesome the Cavs and Lakers are:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=adande_ja&page=Adande-Cavs-Lakers-091225
Quote
"LeBron is on to something. Teams need to know what their max is, and usually the championship-caliber teams show it before January. The Cavaliers can bank on victories at Orlando and at the L.A. Lakers, not to mention victories over Dallas and Phoenix. The only gaping hole in their résumé is that opening-night loss to Boston. But that might not be too worrying if this regular season is a true prologue to the playoffs because it doesn't look as if the Celtics will be intact; they're without Paul Pierce right now (knee infection) and watched Kevin Garnett go down hard and sit out the ending of their victory in Orlando on Friday."
Pretty dismissive of us, aint he?  That seems to be the media's opinion in general.

So in other words... the fact that we have the best record in the league doesnt' matter, because KG bumped his head and Pierce is going to miss a couple games.   Got it...

I wouldn't worry about it. We were not expected to be dominant back in 2007-2008 and look what happened.

The funny thing is that I believe the Lakers will be a tough out once we meet them in the Finals. But - I still believe that if the Celtics play the way they are capable of playing they can beat ANYONE ;D
