I'm going to the Maine Celtics game tonight in Des Moines. We have tickets right behind the bench.
I was really hoping Amari would be playing, because he seemed like the most obvious NBA player. I'm still half-hoping they fly him out to Des Moines for tonights game, but since they are playing the Knicks tomorrow it seems unlikely, even though they have 3 healthy bigs ahead of him right now.
Hayden Gray and Max Shulga seem like the best two players for the Cs. Anyone else I should be watching for? Who else are the most likely to get into the NBA at some point?
A few notes from the game that may be relevant:
1. Shulga was awesome. He got whatever he wanted tonight. 35 points, 10 assists. I kinda' like Gray too, even though he had a tough shooting night.
2. Shulga, Gray, and Bridges all stopped after the game to sign my kids stuff, even though it was a loss. Pressey did not stop and was ticked off after the loss lol.
3. My friend sat behind Louis Copolov, the director of basketball operations for the Maine Celtics. They signed two guys (yesterday and today) who both played tonight. There were a lot of injured guys on the bench as well, but it seemed connected to Harper Jr. and Williams being called up. Who knows?
