Baby won't solve our needs. With Sheldon Williams surprise play I'd rather have him getting the minutes anyway and use Baby as trade bait.

People have short memory. Sheldon will never be the player Glen is.
Agreed, TP.

I wish there was a way to take that TP away lol.  At least my memory is accurate.

Honestly I think the Celtics would get more a jump-start if Scal started playing a bit more.  And like the previous poster mentioned, even Tony wouldn't be that bad to see in there right now.

The only thing that will solve our problems is a mental fix. It's not age, it's not talent, it's attitude. If it were age than I think this would have to be one of the biggest collapses of all time in any sport. The team is simply not giving it 100%. I don't know why or what the motivation behind some of the bad hustle and defensive games that have been played so far. But I do believe that if they come out and play with their head in the game, they can dominate. I don't believe this team has forgotten how to play d or that other teams have "figured" us out. It's not tim,e to panic or question the quality of the team. Think about it this way, as bad as we played against the Magic, we still could have won that game with 2-3 more 3 pointers made. It will come, but it will be up to doc to get the o in sync and it will be up to the team to decide if they want to play d or not.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Well, age is directly correlated to attitude/energy.  It's hard for the old guys to play with the energy of Baby.  Half of the roster kind of looks like it's going through the motions right now.  That's never that case with Baby.

I agree taht Baby can only help, but I don't think that is going to be the answer. I just don't buy the age thing. These guys are not that deep into their 30's. I dont see that as much of a big problem.

i think our team is fine.  Had these losses come in Jan or Feb nobody would really care.  The last couple years we came out of the gate extremely strong and then faded as the season progressed.  Hopefully this year we are going to peak closer to the playoffs.  Three of our losses have come against teams that are playing the best in the NBA right now (Suns, Hawks and Magic are all 11-3)...  The Pacers loss is one of those losses that will happen from time to time.

Sheed's role needs tweaking (his defense has been solid)
Hopefully KG's condition improves as the season progresses...
We aren't really clicking 100% yet.

Not really concerned.

With Baby back we will obviously have more depth and be able to have more line up combinations. I'm not sure if we will definitely get better with him back but I find it very hard to believe that we would get any worse. At least he can provide some more relief for KG, Perk, Sheed. With the way Sheed has been playing of late it would have been real nice if Baby would have taken some of his minutes over these last few games.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
IF NOW we believe Scal should be playing more minutes, I have to unequivocally conclude we in a dire situation. Next someone will suggest we start Giddens. WHATS NEXT? Whats the problem? We knew this would eventually happen. Why the panic now? Lets play and enjoy the season. ::)
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine
