I was particularly encouraged by KG's on-ball defense.  Not just his blanketing of Lewis, but also his on-ball blocks of both Lewis and Howard.  In both instances he had to defend a great (and very different) offensive player off the dribble, then time the shot and get up very high to block the shot.  I don't think he could have done that at the start of the season, and is an example of the kind of quick-jumping that has been missing from KG's game.

TP for the positivity. I agree that there's room to be optimistic but I'm finding it harder and harder to appreciate these comebacks when we're consistently playing from behind because of poor play early in the game.

The way I see it the team has issues carried over from last season. For a good part of last year they weren't playing good smart basketball - slow starts, inconsistency, sloppy play, troubles on defense and offense, poor decision-making, Paul and Ray being asked to do too much etc. - a major problem that was overshadowed by the weakness with the bench and later KG's injury. Hopefully now that KG is back and with our bench upgrade the coaches can start to focus on these problems. It's early in the season so they have plenty of time to get it together.
