I see all these posts saying that if we acquire Nocioni this year and add his salary to the C's it will effect their ability to resign Ray , Perk and Daniels. I totally disagree

1)Ray is a free agent after this year . He is entering the twilight of his career he is not going to get a 14 mil extension. Any team that has cap room is going after many other players like Lebron, Wade, Bosh , Joe Johnson, Dirk . No team is going to give a 35 year old Ray Allen more than the full MLE. Ray will most likely sign with the C's for 7-10 Mil for 2- 3 years

2) Wyc said this summer that the C's could be players in the 2010 free agent maket. We know that's not true now because they just signed rondo to a $50 Mil extension. However if they were going to be able to be players in 2010 free agency, PP would have had to opt out of his contract and sign a extension ( probably 4 years starting out at 15 Mil a year) This scenario is still quite possible . PP has made it know that all he cares about is winning now and I could see him doing this so the C's can afford to put a strong team around him for the rest of his career.

3) With the addition of Nocioni ,BBD becomes expendable. We could shop him for an expiring contract and  a pick or another young player with potential at the guard position. ( Maybe a young PG as insurance in case Daniels walks in the off season)

I'm just saying there are ways to add salary this year and still be able to resign key players in the next few years. Who's with me ?
