Overall I've always liked Doc as a personality and for the most part as a coach, mostly because you knwo his players like playing for him and that is half the battle right there.
However, his rotations have often times baffled me. For instance, against Indy:
Why would you play Garnett or Rasheed on Granger?
Why would you play Pierce on Dahntee Jones? or House on Ford?
Why is House playing point? At all?
Pierce or Scalabrine or Marquis Daniels are all far better match ups on Granger.
And Rondo or Hudson are much better matchups on Ford.
And Marquis, Ray or Eddie are much better match ups on Dahntee than Pierce, who's banged up and a bit slow for Jones in the first place.
It has been proven about 7 million times that House blows at playing the point. It has also been proven about 8 million times that House happens to be quite effective when he can play the off guard and just run amuck off picks for shots.
You would be much better off playing Hudson ( rookie and all) than ever playing House at the point again. I love House but for the love of God, PLEASE stop playing him at the point. I think three years of evaluation of him stinking up that spot should suffice to make a conclusion on this fact.
Play Marquis at the point and post him more. Anything but House at the point
I just don't get it.
