Not long ago, Ryan Gomes was a fan favorite among Celtics fans.  I thought he was an ideal backup 3/4 for us.

Now we have Big Baby Davis.

Who do you like better as a bench player?

I like Big Baby's game and energy just a little better, but I think I'd rather have Ryan's maturity and experience ... especially after recent events.

I think Gomes has better instincts for rebounds, and is slightly better on offense (a bit more versatile).

But I like Baby's ability to manhandle people in the post.

Ryan  was undersized but had great feel and touch for the game with a nose for rebounding. Kind of the opposite of baby who isnt a great finisher but is really physical. If Baby never developed that jumper I would say Ryan hands down but I have to give it to Baby now with an NBA body and a decent offensive weapon.
