Hey guys, just catching up on the latest scores in the Association, and come across this HYPERBOLE(everyones favourite word)of a recap by one of their "writers".

The writer goes goo goo for gaa gaa over the Cavs beating the Bobcats.  I honestly nearly threw up!

Anyhoo, here's the link:

Oh well, Build 'em up and break them down when they play a decent team.

It seems as if the Media would rather see an CLE-LA Finals. That's why CLE will ALWAYS get more and detailed coverage.

Face it people----Lebron/Shaq VS Kobe and the gang has more "Appeal" than Boston VS LA.

Celtics aren't flashy. They will win "ugly" (Defensively).

And we don't have one singular threat. KG/P2/Ray Ray/Sheed/Rondo could beat a team on any given night with their Individual play, but Boston has never been known for individual heroics.

It happens every now and then (scoring outbursts), but not often.

Classic case: Rondo's game VS Bulls. Only scored 2 pts, but he was the most dominant player out there (16 assists, 8 rbs). Plus he kept Rose quiet.

Celtics accolades will come in June. Enjoy the ride!

Yada - yada - yada ... real surprised at this, (not) ... might as well get used to it, we'll be reading this stuff all season long. On an up-note, I'm glad Delonte' was welcomed with a standing ovation ... that's very cool. Nice to see the Cleveland fans have some class.

So, we leave the Bobcats in the 50's... and suddenly the Cavs beating them has to be considered as proof that this will all work out? Can I just say, "LOL!" and "GRGAGRAKOOkaGOAGAGKAOK" for good measure.

Except for stupid and overrated "rivalries" (basically Kobe vs Shaq and LeBron), a Cleveland/LA Finals isn't more appealing. Cavs' offense is just ugly to watch and the Celtics are just hundred times more enjoyable to watch thanks to their passing game, their stars and their intelligent plays.

So I don't even buy the that Cavaliers/Lakers would be a great Finals since I find Cleveland terribly boring to wstch.

Anyway the media love for Cleveland isn't new but I'm still amazed that the recurrent failures of the team over the past few years don' calm ESPN & cie, which still see the Cavs as favorites to win the title... what a joke!

But it will just make the Celtics victory in next june even more enjoyable. :)

I bet the NBA is cringing at the idea of a Boston vs. San Antonio finals.  Me? I think it would be great!

I'm not so sure... a KG vs. Duncan has a certain appeal to it, particularly how divided everyone is on who is better than who, and how different their careers might've been and the perception of them had their situations been reversed.

Ok, that would be one story line.  And the only other story line would be: whose got better defense?

Hopefully, the Cavs will have a false sense of security in thinking that they are all set with the current roster.

Yeah, kind of funny that the Celtics eating the Bobcats' lunch is just business as usual, but the Cavs win by 11 in a low scoring game and it's the road to the championship.

Pretty used to it by now.

To compare, here's the recap from our win over the Bobcats:

http://www.nba.com/games/20091028/CHABOS/recap.html

Some quotes: "The Celtics might not be defending a title this season, but they sure looked ready to defend just about everything else. "

"...the Celtics drubbed the Bobcats, 92-59, in Boston's home opener, giving all those in attendance a taste of a proven championship defense."

"Despite what Brown said, the night didn't say much about the Bobcats as much as it spoke volumes about the home team. Because in holding the Bobcats to 23 points on 6-of-32 shooting in the first and third quarters combined, the Celtics showed that, once again, their defense is in a class of its own. "

They also quote Chandler calling us the best team in the conference.  It's NBA.com, people, of course they're going to gush.  It's a league website promoting the league.  Nothing to see here.
