anyone the Lakers are playing - they CANNOT ever pass us in total titles - it simply cannot be allowed to happen.

after that, i would hate to see either atlanta or cleveland win a title. i hate the hawks for obvious reasons and lebron and all his jerk-off sideshows just rub me the wrong way.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

The Celtics will win it all, so it doesn't matter...but...

The Lakers not winning is priority. After that it's the Cavs.

Other than that, it's not important to me.

If the Celtics don't make it out of the East, I want the Cavs to because I trust them to beat the Lakers more than any other team.

I like OKC and the Mavs out west. Fan of Dirk.

This is very dangerous for me to say but I am rooting for Oklahoma. Not a good thing to be doing in a Seattle Sports Bar. I maybe in my Q bunker this spring.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Oklahoma and it is not even close. It would be close if Portland was in the PO's and Brandon Roy was healthy.

I could root for Dirk.

The downside -- Cedric Maxwell will starting talking again about how Dirk is better than Bird.

I think that sparks an interesting dilemma, although I know you have been a C's fan throughout. I did grow up in Boston, but I feel like I would follow the team even if it went to a new city and changed the team name. I know that won't happen in a million years to the C's, but it's how I feel.

If it happened the way it did with the Sonics, I think I'd feel robbed.  I'd want to see them do well, but they wouldn't be "my" team anymore.

If the Celtics get booted, then, and only then, will I consider rooting for another team. I'm not big on sharing loyalties. ;)

I'd love to see Jerry Sloan get a ring.

Dallas. Dirk and Kidd deserve a ring for lifetime achievement, just like KG, Ray and Pierce in '08.

Tbh, Dirk, Terry and Dampier deserve it after being robbed in the 2006 Finals.  :-\

Charlotte. It's my home town team and while I liked the Hornets WAY more and can't stand all the UNC trash connected to the team I'm still pulling for them.

I want the Jazz or Spurs to do something in the west.
I want any team that can stop LA to win in the end. Whatever it takes. Even if it takes the Cavs.

OKC is always fun to watch, would love to see them beat la, denver/utah will be a tough match too, lakers aren't going to have an easy road this year.

phoenix might have an easier time with roy out in portland, then they get the survivors of dallas vs. spurs. i'm thinking dallas will come out, but will have a tough time with nash.

atlanta too, they have the bucks, and should be able to handle them easily. then they get an orlando team that could struggle w/ the bobcats... should be fun.

I also have a soft spot for Charlotte.  Diaw, Thomas and Wallace make up one of the most athletic and entertaining 3/4 rotations in the game.

I like the Spurs out West.  Tony Parker is the only annoying guy in that organization.  Manu and Blair are a lot of fun to watch.
