So in essence, if we win this year and one of the following two years, I have no problems letting others, like let's say Houston, take the title provided that it isn't the Lakers.

How are we gonna Let other teams win? We went 22 years without winning. Do you think the Celtics owners just let other teams win all that time? The only person that controls this team is WCY&co along with Danny (to a point). What the Celtics have to worry about is other GM's handing borderline great players over to the Lakers for nothing.

  I am all for us winning 2 or 3 a decade but to say that we can let teams other than the Lakers win is well impossible.

edit It all boils down to Ownership and before Wyc and Co ours sucked.

Great, then, it's settled - we'll win this year and either in '11 or '12 if and ONLY if the Lakers don't get it the year we take off.  Somebody email Danny and let him know.
