Jury's still out ... how 'Sheed fits in with Ubuntu and how he melds with the chemistry of this team is still a big question mark for me, (along with the other additions/changes). I would wait until deep into November before giving a solid answer to this question, though Wallace, (if consistent), could make enough difference to put us over the top ... time will tell.

A more interesting question is how far could they go if Rondo goes down.  They have decent players to replace KG in the starting lineup (Sheed, Baby).  If Rondo gets hurt, they have no one.

100% agree.

I don't think we'll win if either is gone.

ECF is as far as we'd make it, but its more likely we'd lose in a the semi-finals.

I think this team looks great on paper. Last year there was debate as to wether it was better then the 86 squad and that was premature. This year, if everyone is healthy, that debate may pick up again. There is no way, and I mean, no way we beat the Lakers in the Finals without KG. We did take Orlando to 7 but got spanked bad in game 7 and I am not sure that the addition of Sheed would put us over that series either. I have to say though that Daniels is a player I dont know much about so hopefully his addition will help. I dont think we match up well with Cleveland without KG so I say no way on passing them without KG too.

Yeah, I agree with that.

There's a possibility that we could beat Orlando with Rasheed and Daniels in there; we almost did last year without those two (and with no KG).  However, I don't think we'd get past Cleveland.

Still one of the top 3 teams in the East without KG. But no title talks, no way.
Go Lakers

We would have beaten Orlando if sheed was on the roster that's for sure. Not so convinced we would do well against Lakers or Cavs.

If the team played like last year without KG, except that Rasheed tries and Pierce/Allen have a bit more energy left, then I sincerely think that the Celtics can make the finals.  However, for them to stand a decent chance of winning the finals I think they need KG

It's more than that. We would have had a much easier time vs the Bulls so Paul/Ray/Rajon wouldn't have been so tired going into the Orlando series. We'd have had as much of a chance as anyone else.

We couldnt beat the Lakers during the regular season with KG, how could we in a 7 game series without him? I love the addition of Sheed but he is not a better player then KG, which would have to be the case for us to beat the Lakers. I hate the Lakers with a passion but am also trying to be a realist. If we are completely healthy and they are as well and meet in the Finals it will be one of the best series the league has seen in years. Both teams being healthy, Rondo pushes us to banner 18!.
