I don't know if you heard Kurt Rambis is the new coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Being so highly coveted, Rambis has a lot of leverage to bring in his "Own Players" & in the process help the lakers & screw the T-wolves. So over/under 6months Lakers/Timberwolves trade? I'm guessing Luke Walton (and his atrocious contract) for Ryan Gomes & Corey Brewer.

LOL  Yeah I could see a shady trade going down.

It won't happen, Taylor would get killed.

Yeah, and their new GM seems more interested in putting his own mark on the franchise, rather than helping out his coach's former team.

as soon as I heard Rambis would be the coach I thought about at trade that brings Al Jeff to the Fakers.  Luckily i don't think the new GM would do something like that, but it crossed my mind.  (with that being said, i'm so sick of people accusing mchale of 'helping' the celtics with KG)

So sad to have lost our mole in Minnesota  ::)

Is McHale totally out of a job now?  Or does he still have some powerless job and a title there.
Yup

Agreed.  I get the feeling Kahn won't be taking a whole lot of input from Rambis right now.  He wants to drive the team into the ground himself.

I hope McHale gets a job somewhere else and sorts us out again. He's truly a Celtic great, even when employed by other teams. You hear that Leon, Delonte?

McHale was truly a great Celtic. I remember when he had the chance to trade Googs to the Fakers for Eddie Jones, but instead he just let Googs walk, and he said something about how he didn't want to help the Lakers. Poor KG though. Marbury, Eddie and KG would have been real good at the time.

For the record I think McHale got good value for KG in the Al Jeff, Gomes, two first rounders deal, and also won the Love/Miller for Mayo trade.

Time will tell on the latter, but I also like Love more than Mayo. Especially now that it's basically Mayo/Foye for Love/Rubio. Although you add in his screwup with Roy/Foy and it's Mayo and Roy for Love and Rubio. Interesting.

By the way, I could see Minnesota trading Al down the road, just not too soon. Love pretty much plays the same position (I think they're both really power forwards), Rubio and Flynn and Brewer are suited to an uptempo game, and Love fits that better with his ability to rebound, outlet and trail as a shooter. If they could turn Jefferson into a mobile, defensive minded center, or an athletic shooter who can play the 2 and 3, I could see them moving Al and don't think it would be a terrible idea, as good as Al is.
Go Celtics.

paranoid suspicion.  never happen.

Rambis has to make sure he does well enough to keep the job.

Also, just because he's a former Laker (and thus, scum) doesn't mean he's got a mad-on to help his former team.  Larry hasn't helped the C's at all since leaving Boston and he was Mr. Celtic the same time Rambis was on the Fakers.

I think Rambis will do what's right and stick it to the Lakers... he's bitter that they kept that old zen Jackass-on for so many years and not passing the torch to him sooner.
