Over unders.

Pick a game, over or under the over under number.

Who ever picks the proper over under and is the biggest distance from it wins.

Example

If you picked under on the Browns/Bills game, you would have won

Cleveland (#20, 1-4)     6        Under 41.5
at Buffalo (#26, 1-4)    3

41.5 - 9 = 32.5

This way each game can have two players, one over, one under.

Or we post the spreads, give everyone 100 "points" to "bet" with and see who ends up with the most points at the end of the weekend.

You'd need to "bet" a minimum of 1 game and 50 points, and a max of 5 games.  "Bets" would be in increments of 10 points only.  "Bets" would be even up (no vig or extra % for a loss).  No parlays, teases etc...just one game "bets".

Or is this too much like gambling for here?  I used to love to make bets, but the real money aspect of it is lost on me at this point in my life.  Doing it for a weekly prize of TPs or pride, would suit me just as well.
Yup

I don't understand over/under... nor do I understand what Redz is talking about. I feel sheltered.  :-[

It is the guessed total point to be scored in a game.

You pick whether the two teams will combine for more or less points then Vegas guesses.

i like this idea...but i can see how some people might find it complicated if they have never gambled, which is why i thought a simple spread game would work... where you pick a game guess the final spread and closest to their actual spread wins

example

Truck pick: Pats + 5 over Broncos: Final Broncos 20 - Pats 17: Truck score =  - 8

Redz pick: Browns + 6 over Buff: Final Browns 6 - Buff 3: Redz score =  - 3

MattG pick: Ariz + 3 over Hou: Final AZ 28 - Hou 21: MattG score = - 4

thus Redz wins...also it could be that anyone who picks a losing team is eliminated from possibly winning
Looking for a Sig designer....obviously i will be greatful with tps.

Looking for a Wire - Rondo theme....PM with ideas and I'll tp
