It's not a bad package for TOronto - a lot of already proven but still fairly young players in the trade package, plus some apparently interesting-to-TOronto projects. If Cleveland did draft Eyenga for that purpose, it's fairly smart. I was very curious heading into this offseason how Cleveland would choose to attack their future situation. They had cap space to get Lebron and another guy in 2010, but had to make some changes. I initially though Shaq was just a stopgap measure, since it was a "move toward winning" but didn't jeapordize any 2010 cap space. But then resigning Varejao and adding Parker took away the cap space to add a big name player by free agency.
Varejao, West, Eyenga, Hickson and two first rounders (which won't be good picks) would be a pretty good offer for Bosh if he's not gonna stay. Especially if Cleveland adds another cheap piece and takes on Marcus Banks' contract. Toronto does love foreign players. That would leave a lineup of Mo-Parker-Lebron-Bosh-Shaq in Cleveland with Gibson, Z, maybe Moon, and whoever else Cleveland brings in this year off the bench. That'd be a solid team going forward.
