Sheed's Impact on Player Personnel

Given the discussion of Sheed's ability to spread the floor, how might his presence, especially if he's playing with the second unit impact player personnel?

TA, Walker, and Giddens all struggle with their shot, though I'd give the nod to Walker and Giddens in this area now.  Nevertheless, does having Sheed open the key enough to warrant keeping any or all of these three?

For instance, let's just say that the second unit is, Gabe, Eddie, BBD, Sheed, and then one of the above.  The floor would be spread so much that either TA, JR, or Walker would be able to use their athleticism around the basket.

After having read Doc's comments about the abilities of Sheed offensively, I found myself getting nervous because I really want to see TA traded, yet, I do believe Doc has a soft spot for him.  But, I also could see where Sheed's presence would make up for the weaknesses regarding outside shot from TA, JR, and Walker.

We haven't rounded out the bench, so we still need to wait it out. This is the reason why I personally would want to see Grant Hill in green, because we'd see;

Grant Hill
Eddie House
BBD
Rasheed
TA / Walker / Giddens / Whoever else we sign

This way, Grant can play point forward, with eddie as PG on defense. That's a pretty spread floor. If this was the case I would personally want Powe over BBD as he's much more of a banger and would fit better with Rasheed's spacing.

The big thing is that 'Sheed can play the 5.  There aren't that many legitimate centers available, and those who are tend to be expensive, suck, or are coming off injury (Swiftie).  It's a lot easier to fill in with a PF-type, either BBD or Joe Smith or a lot of other rotation-caliber bigs who aren't quite big enough to match up with guys like Shaq and Dwight Howard.
