Brickowski hates Marbury and endorses Varejao ? Cool ......

Andy is the biggest flopping fool in the league. He brings nothing else to the table.

I didn't endorse him, just reported that he was available.

But now that you mention it, I do like his hustle, defense and improving jumper.

As for flopping, he's good at it.  So is Leon Powe.

Leon doesn't flop he gets his legs wide and takes legit charges right into the chest ,Varejao just falls on the ground after every play. It is ridiculous how much he does it , especially against Orlando in the playoffs last year.

Like Varejao's energy and his focus on defense, and he is one of those prototypical guys who you say to yourself, "I don't like him, he bothers me.  But I'd probably love him on my team."

That being said, I don't want Varejao on my team.  I have bigger aspirations for this offseason, as unrealistic as some of those may be.

i want someone who actually plays honest defense and earns their offensive fouls...not someone who cheats on D and flops when no one's nearby. i hate this guy if you haven't figured that out yet  >:(

Seems a little delusional on his part unless he knows something we don't. Wasn't he slated to make north of $6 million next year in Cleveland? Is he planning on getting signed for more than that?

I want no part of side show Bob on the C's considering who else is available.  The guy is a flopper and resembles the likes of Noah on the Bulls. Both should be deep bench players at best and should not be paid more than the LLE.

He is nowhere close to Noah who is going to be an all defense team player at some point in his career . Varejao is just a flopper and nothing else.
Did you not watch him bang with KG in the playoffs in 2008? He's not just a flopper, it's a part of his game but so what. Posey is also a flopper.

Varejao is the biggest flopper in the league by far. Posey can actually defend. Oh and by the way KG had a pretty [dang] good series against Cleveland

KG                   Varejao

   1= 28 / 8          1=  1 / 1
   2= 13 / 12         2= 3/ 10
   3= 17/ 9           3= 5 / 1
   4= 15/ 10          4= 12/ 6
   5= 26/ 16          5= 4/ 7
   6= 25/ 8           6= 4/ 5
7= 13/ 13          7= 5/ 2

19.5 ppg, 11RPG         4PPG + 4RPG

Of course KG got his during that series, but if you watched the games AV did as good a job as anyone on the Cavs roster. He takes charges, flops, and is a dirty hustle type player. That doesn't mean he isn't a good defender, ask Bruce Bowen.

Besides AV has gotten better over the past year.

Varejao would be a great signing for the full MLE for as long as we can get him. He is a very good rebounder, gets a few blocks and steals, can play the 4/5, and has a nice 15 footer.

Plus, he is 26 years old 6'11" and 260 pounds. That is the kind of size we are looking for.
"All I have to know is, he's my coach, and I follow his lead. He didn't have to say anything in here this week. We all knew what we had to do. He's a big part of our family, and we're like his extended family. And we did what good families do when one of their own is affected." - Teddy Bruschi

If the Celtics could get him for the MLE, huge steal.

Improves the bench.  Gives them a back up C.  Hurts Cleveland.

We got Rasheed Wallace instead.  Sheed ain't as young obviously but he's way more talented.

I don't think there's anyway I'd give Varejao the full MLE.  The guy is strictly backup PF/C with good defense.  Now if he would take 1.5M or the LLE, then I'd take a look at him. ;)
