With Hill seemingly on the fence, could we package expiring contracts (Scal and TA and whatever else it takes to work salary cap wise) for Posey, who has 3 years left? Talk about a great bench!!! NO seemed pretty keen to dump salary end of last year, and even Posey was rumored to be on the block.  Man, would I love that team.

The Hornets would trade Posey for expiring contracts in a heartbeat, but the Celtics never liked the length of his contract.

Rasheed wouldn't be here if Posey was resigned last year. That chapter is over and its time to move on.

My guess is if Ainge was willing to pay Posey what he got from the Hornets, he never would've signed with NO in the first place.  So I would say no.

I think we could easily offer Tony, Scal and one of the young players for Posey.  I think we could probably get a better/younger player with a less crappy contract for those expiring deals, though.

Is there any chance New Orleans trades Posey for cap relief? Yes, there is.

Is there any chance Danny Ainge is willing to take Posey's contract on board? No, afraid not.

Wouldn't he still have that same contract that Boston didn't want to give him?  If so so then no.

Personally I like Morris Peterson better and salaries do match.  I also believe he has a year less on his contract and he is younger than Pose so deterioration of skill isn't a worry.

It's really worse. Instead of getting (in Danny's opinion) 2 good years from Posey and 2 years that he's not worth the money, it's now one good year for the two years he's not worth the money.
