Remember all those threads over the past 2 season about which of our two undersized bigs we should keep come 2009 offseason?

Clearly, BBD. He's healthy, and he keeps improving his game.

Now let's sign a real backup C.

BBD I hate to say it but we should Big Baby doesn't have a huge injury like Powe does now and he stepped up big time in the playoffs, But I think Powe should be kept around since he has been a first class kind of guy

If both were healthy and we got Sheed I'd want Powe. But as it stands now we clearly should keep Davis unless he gets a offer much bigger than I expect.

I'd prefer the C's keep Leon Powe.

I didn't like what I saw from Glen Davis when he got major minutes at power forward, I thought his defense dropped in a big way, and I didn't like his lack of rebounding. Davis a good fourth big in a rotation, and better at center than power forward ... but I think Leon Powe has more talent and can become more than that.

I'll give you credit Who. You had no faith in Powe two years ago.

With Sheed being a 4/5 himself who likes the perimeter, who would you prefer next to Sheed?

Yep, absolutely none, Powe slowly won me over ... and I was high on Davis for quite awhile but he disappointed me when playing more minutes at power forward rather than center. I'd still be very interested in Davis if he lost the weight, and changed his game (copy David West please!), but not the current edition at the current asking price.

I'd prefer Leon Powe. I think Rasheed Wallace needs to play center at this point in his career, he no longer has the legs or the athleticism to cover several power forwards well, especially perimeter guys. Wallace does much better defensively when he can stay near the rim and use his intelligence, positioning, and length to good effect so I think it makes a large difference to his impact defensively.

Ergo, I'd like the better power forward defender and that has been Leon Powe. I also like Leon's scoring inside which is a nice match to Wallace's perimeter shooting, and Leon's rebounding prowess to Rasheed's below par rebounding.

But if Baby sheds substantial weight, I imagine all bets are off.

I imagine with Baby and Sheed on the floor together, all post moves from both would be fadeaways.

If Powe was healthy I'd agree with Who. But unfortunately Powe isn't and nobody knows when he will so I'll go with Davis.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...
