haven't heard his name much and think he might be a good fit. Doesn't he make as much sense as Mcdyess as a decent shooting big? I think he'd be willing to sign for the MLE as well.

I like Bass. He's another short power forward in the class of Davis, Powe, Landry, etc.

We need length first. IF that plan falls through, then Bass is on my next list - I'd rather keep Davis though. Just depends on who else is available, and what the price tags are.

I think Bass brings slightly more athletisism than BBD does, but Baby gives you more overall talent.  Coming into this season with confidence, I fully expect to see a BBD who can handle the ball, make good decisions, hit shots, rebounds, and score in the paint.  He hits the O boards hard too.  Bass is more of a hustle guy that got a lot of minutes on a thin Dallas frontcourt.  I don't think it makes that much sense to pursue him unless BBD gets a huge deal and there isn't much else out there.  If Powe re-signs we have all the thick stalky bodies we need.  We need some height and some talent.  I just don't really see Bass bringing that based on what I've seen of him so far.
