The Bobcats probably wouldn't do it, unless they are really in dire financial straights. They give up two starters and get one back.
This deal is OK for the Celtics but if we are going to trade a starter I'd really like to get some young pieces back that we can maybe use to build for the future...otherwise I don't think it's worth it to make the trade to begin with. Bell is almost as old as Ray and Prince is a few years younger but still headed away from his peak as opposed to towards it.
I'm not even sure this makes us better now.
Plus, the Pistons give up one of their "core" and get Boris Diaw and probably Terrence Williams in return. Worth it? I'm not sure. With the #15 they could probably take Austin Daye who looks like he could be the next Tayshaun, so it's possible the Pistons could do this deal. I think considering that they want to win "now" apparently and are looking to get Boozer and maybe Ben Gordon I'm not so sure they'd want to trade away Prince so they could get a versatile backup and a pick in a weak draft.
It's possible, though, I guess.
