How long will Charlotte keep both Felton and Augustin?
Which player is better?  Better PG.  Better scorer?

I think I'd rather have Augustin.  But I watched hardly any Charlotte games this year (just against Celts).

Augustin I think is better. Based on production per playing time, he had a better year last year while Felton was in his 4th year. So I see Augustin as already better with more playing time and more upside as well. Felton has been the same solid, unspectacular guard for the last 3 years. For about 3 mil a year, he'd be an excellent backup point guard.

So how do we get him (Felton) to back up Rondo?  And this time I'll veer from my usual hyptothetical bent and demand some major realism!!

Don't they use Felton a bit at 2 guard as well?  Could be a nice Celtic addition.

  • Rondo = Good
Either of them would be nice as a backup.

Charlotte are going to offer Felton a contract worth somewhere in the vicinity of the MLE. He's a restricted free agent so he isn't acquirable, unless some team throws $8+mil at him. Larry Brown fell in love with his game by the end of last season.

And, that contract is going to be yet another mistake made by the Charlotte Bobcats. Salary cap nightmare .... Larry Brown should never be allowed make personnel decisions.

I found it depends on who the Bobcats played to which one was playing the best.Aganist the Lakers Felton did a grest job both times i saw them.Maybe because he was a lot quicker than Fish and drove pass him like the roadrunner.I like both pg's for the Bobcats, like i said each one has his upside depending on who they play.Augustin seems to be the better jumpshooter, especially when they need scoring in a hurry to get back in games they fell behind in.Felton is a pretty decent ball distributor to the right guy and getting them into their sets quicker.Brown seems to have him right on track with his system.

Felton is a free agent this summer if I'm not mistaken, so we'll see if Charlotte decides to re-sign him or not (he'll probably seek a big contract).

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Augustine would be great he knows how to get it done.

As for Felton, everytime I watch him play it all looks forced.

Felton plays the stat sheets.

Charlotte would be crazy not to keep both right now.

With the economics right now, no one is going to make them have to over pay.
