I mean to me, that makes the most sense. If you recall the famous duel with the Knicks, Hakeem saved the series by blocking Stark's gaming winning shot and thus, getting a game seven to completely dominate the Knicks at all levels for the grand finale. Well, this year, the trick was turned on us.

Can you imagine if Howard had Hakeem's offensive game?  Or even just a quarter of it?

Scary to think.

If Howard could just learn Perk's TWO post moves:

1. Back down and fade away over the top

2. Up and under

He could be one of the 5 best players in the league.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

He already is.  So if he got better post moves he'd be top 2 or 3 instead of 4 or 5.

Give it some time, it might happen.

The thing I was most impressed with with Howard during the C's series, was how quick his hands are.  He grabbed a ton of loose rebounds that he wasn't even really in position for.  Serious arm length and quick hands.

Agreed. Reminded me of young KG.

Some games in Minnesota it seemed like he'd get every single missed shot.

Exactly.  Imagine just a few pet moves like up fakes, step throughs or a fade away.

I will say, his defense is already off the charts, but there are times where he is actually in position to draw a charge where he doesn't for wanting to block the shot.  If he learns when to use it and not to use it and throws that skill of discernment in on top of his shot altering and rebounding, holy cow.

Howards all around game looks so much better this series.. Either he is really stepping up his game or Perk played him unfreakinbelievably.

Well if you think about the Cavs front line none of them really match up well with Howard at all...Varejao is busy chasing Lewis all over the place, Ben Wallace needs to be a few years younger and a bit taller, and Big Z is a Big Softie.

Perk is a muscular beast who can take it and dish it out, so Howard didn't have an easy time.  Meanwhile Big Whitefish is hangin out on the edges trying to shoot 3's.  The Cavs really don't have an answer for Howard inside so it makes him look even better than he is.

Howard is good but its disrespecting Hakeem to compare Howard to him.

The term "Hakeem'ed" is meant as a compliment, to Howard's efforts, not as an insult to my favorite player.
