Jamrio Moon is exactly the kind of player we need as a backup wing. He is basically a younger James Posey. He can Defend, has length, can shoot the 3 and finish at the rim. He is a restricted fee agent this summer so maybe we can work out a sign and trade of

Mia sends: Moon(S+T) and Haslem

Bos sends: BBD (S+T) TA, Scal

What do you guys think? I think this would make us front runners in the east!

I wouldn't mind his a backup, but I hope we can do better.

Serious thought, I would'nt mind him or Haslem as back ups.
But I also think BBD has more value than this idea!

Haselm would cost an awful lot for a backup. He's a quality PF and not too old.

He is a career 34.5% 3P shooter and 48% FG's. He is know as a solid defender, have you ever watched him play?

yea , but he is an expiring contract, so he would be easy to move in a trade when Powe comes back healthy. Everyone will be looking for expiring contracts for the big 2010 free agents and Haslems 7 mil expiring could become very useful.

I'll pass on Moon too.

There's better options out there for a back up wing that I want and I think there'd be too much overlap in substance/style if you bring in Moon when you already have Tony Allen & Bill Walker.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see that TA was involved in deal.  I still think there are better wing options out there.

He makes what, a triple every 2 games? He's a good shot-blocker, rebounder and his length is disruptive on the defensive side, but a solid defender he isn't. He's just too easy to break down off the dribble.

Yes I have. His true shooting isn't anything special and his efg% on jump shots isn't great either. His defense is over rated. He doesn't do much very well. He puts in the effort in the games I've seen but his defense is lack luster from what I've seen. Especially his help defense.

His passing and more critically his rebounding also aren't very good for his size/position. He'd be an acceptable backup at near minimum or Eddie House level salary though.

Edit: I just checked his rebounding numbers, which are pretty good I was correct on the rest though.

Moon would be a huge upgrade over our current bench wings. his 3 pt percentage has improved steadily and he is a far better defender than some people give him credit for.
that said
he is fourth on my list of wings i want to see in beantown.o

1: T. Outlaw. young athletic swing forward with d and 3
2: S. Marrion old atheltic swing forward with d and 3
3: H. Warrick young athletic swing forward with no d and no 3 who has just begun to crack the surface of his potential
4: J: Moon. not quite old, athletic 3 with d and an improving 3.

of the 4, warrick and moon are most attainable, marrion may want to much dough and may not want to come off the bench. I hold out hope for a baby for outlaw sign and trade.

I'd take any of these guys over Matt Barns, or Grant hill,
Barns doesn't impress me and hill is an old, soft injury waiting to happen who makes me angry just looking at him.
