Anything over Scal money is overpaid if you ask me. If someone wants to give him over 3 mil a year, let him walk.
If we don't use the opportunity to try and sign and trade we'd be dumb. This team has so few assests that our ability to match any BBD offer needs to be maximized. Either by getting him as cheaply as possible or getting some asssets in return.
Why do you think we can get anything for him in a sign and trade? Do you have any other similar situations in the past to give as an example of the value we could get back? Couldn't we get anything better than a low second round pick?
Baby is a starter on a handful of teams in the league, and the first big off the bench for another half. Outside of Boston, I can see him fitting in well in Orlando, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Milwaukee, or Toronto to name a few.
