Big Baby is still not the guy to go to at the end of games in an ideal situation, but when he's open like that, I'd be mad at Pierce if he took the shot instead of passing it. We didn't need a 3 and clearly neither Ray nor Pierce were open enough to take a shot that could have reasonably went in. The defense left Baby open from his money range on the floor and they paid for it. When that happens, I'd love to see them pass it to Baby every time even if he ends up missing sometimes.
Moral of the story, usually you want Pierce or Ray to finish off a game but no matter what the open guy with a high percentage shot is always the best option, and Big Baby was that guy in this instance.
