I don't really understand why SVG got on his case in the first place.  He got bumped a fell, there wasn't a call.  Shaq got right up and ran back down the court, it was over nothing was heard from that again.  Then SVG opened his mouth.  I'm surprised SVG decided to call out Shaq, when I'm sure he's had other opportunities to call out other notorious floppers...Manu, Varejo, Nocioni, etc.

My guess is he misjudged his relationship with Shaq, and thought he could poke fun at his former player a little.

The world wide leader thrives off juicy fueds, not actual news. Of course the pumped this, just like they are currently trying to get a rise out of TO's camp over steve young's comments, because that would also make good tv.

i loathe kobe. but at least he can say he gives his all,even though it's all for himself. shaq is jealous,selfish and he is also MORE responsible for those laker titles. it surprises me that people don't hate him. later on he wins a title with pat frickin reily who absolutely hates the celtics and came right out into the media, (even during a tv SPECIAL that they did not to long ago about the 1984 series and pat riley ACCUSES THE CELTICS OF CHEATING. "the celtics were about hidden cameras..,"says pat riley. shaq will forever be a laker to me. but it's fine because both kobe and shaq represent the opposite of ubuntu.

Conflict over content.  Same reason Around the Horn is still on the air despite everyone on the show being obviously clueless on 80-90% of the topics.  ESPN tries to boil everything down to a series of jr. high level catfights, because it's easier than talking about, y'know, actual GAMES or anything.  The main reason I don't watch anything but games and PTI on ESPN anymore.
