Which player would you least like to have on your team?

Stephon Marbury, Celtics G.....22%
Ron Artest, Rockets F.....9%
Stephen Jackson, Warriors F/G.....5%
Kobe Bryant, Lakers G.....5%
Gilbert Arenas, Wizards G.....5%

[Based on a survey of 190 NBA players]

FAST FACTS: Poll was completed before Boston claimed Marbury on waivers last week.... Tracy McGrady tied for fifth; with him out with a knee injury, the Rockets had gone 8–1 at week's end.... Jackson has been on five teams in his nine-year career.... Arenas hasn't played since signing a six-year, $111 million deal last July (knee surgery); in '06–07 his 1,548 shots were fourth in the NBA.

This is an NBA poll from the March 9, 2009 issue of Sports Illustrated.

What's your take on this poll?

Hmmm... we definitely didn't get Mr. Congeniality. I wonder how Eddie House voted. ;) Anyway, here's hoping that Marbury shows his peers how wrong they are.

Yeah, Marbury was my first thought, too.

I sure hope he proves all of us wrong.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Is Arenas seen as that bad of a guy?

I'd have gone with Artest 1 and Jackson 2. Artest could make it through last year, this year and next year without a problem but he's still a ticking bomb.

I was shocked by Arenas. Gilbert is not a bad guy at all personality wise.

Anyway, here's hoping that Marbury shows his peers how wrong they are.

Even if they're right about him let's hope he keeps a li on things until he hits the FA market this summer.

One thing for sure -- no one voted for Will Solomon.

Everyone wants to play with Will Solomon.

Arenas has a huge salary that eats a lot of the cap room, he's always injured, on those few weeks per decade when he's not injured he shoots the ball like crazy and he writes a blog where he writes too candidly about locker room issues, teammates, opponents... I mean, he calls out guys because he thinks they're asking for salaries too high. I'm not surprised to see him there.

I'm surprised by the presence of Jackson - by all accounts a great teammate and by the absence of Iverson.

I'd vote Maggette, Artest or Marbury. Honorable mentions to Zach Randolph and Nate Robinson.

I don't know, I've actually warmed to Maggette ever since you told me his awesome new nickname Cordobes. By far the best nickname of any NBA player, ever.
