Yikes! I was trying to be helpful (in my own perverse way). Maybe, just maybe, the OP would read my post, be convinced that gas is rather inexpensive, and thus not need help finding cheap gas. Sure it's abrasive, but this style works for me and the many others that I've helped.

And it doesn't really take the thread off-topic. The reference to the gas tax and the emoticon seemed to imply an opinion on the matter. I felt it was my place to state my opinion as well.

I'm just curious where people typically fill up around the Nashua area. I live near the NH border but I'm looking to avoid the expensive stations right off the highway.

Ok, now we're really getting off-topic. But in defense of...well...myself, I should say that it was not a personal attack. I really know nothing about you. The comments about the beer and food was totally arbitrary. I could've said cable tv and vacations. If I wanted to attack you I would've said you smell or your mother wears army boots and has a machine gun.

My response was an attack on your post. And it wasn't out of nowhere as I wrote in response to Roy. The emoticon was really what set me off.
