I mentioned briefly in another thread there is a little bit of a break in the schedule coming up and it may be a good time for our team to get some good rest and also get some good practice time in.

The Celtics are home from now until Saturday when they go to New Jersey then home again until Wed the 21st when they play in Miami.  After back to back games in Miami and Orlando we are home again for another week.

So for the next 18 days they can sleep in their own beds for all but 3 nights roughly and the 3 nights they are away they are on the east coast.   For anyone who travels for their job knows the feeling of being able to be home for an extended period.

So again I think it's going to be a good time period for our players to get some much needed rest as many seem a little tired and maybe nursing some minor injuries.  It also should be a good time to get in some solid practice time.

I wouldn't be surprised after this time frame it gets the Celtics back on track playing solid ball again and closing games out.

this will defenitly help alot, i heard on WEEI the other day that the celtics hadn't had a practice since december 20th or something like that. what that means to me is that doc is seeing problems in the game but has to just teach on the fly instead of having a few hours to drill it out and shine up on fundamentals. i see this team finishing january stong and really hitting back on the league for the past couple weeks.

Yes I remember hearing that as well.  It may be even a good time to force KG, Paul, and whoever else to sit out a game or 2.   Paul has banged his knee hobbling back to the bench at least twice that I can recall recently.  Last night and I think against the Knicks.   I think KG's calf is bothering him.   Rondo might be banged up too with how many times he hits the floor.  We have to make sure these guys are right for later on in the season.
