I wouldn't be surprised one bit if this turns into a 5 game losing streak after Sunday.

This Raptors team won tonight and I think is starting to realize that the Jermaine O'Neal trade wasn't a good move because since his injury they've actually played better without him.  Barganai is playing very well in the starting lineup.

Uh Oh

Another reason its not good, is because they owe us an epic beating for the 2 games earlier this season

  • You know my methods, Watson.
i'm not sure we could beat the washington generals right now.  this team has NO confidence whatsoever.

They're a tougher matchup for the Celtics without Jermaine O'Neal. Those two perimeter bigs take the Celtics big men out of the paint, and create a lot of space for the Raptors to take advantage of.

Bargnani has been shooting the ball extremely well recently. His eFG% over the last 7 games or so has been something like 66%.

is o'neal injured right now and not likely to play sunday?  if so, that's a sure loss for the celtics as they can't beat anyone missing one of their top players... :D

sadly, its not a good time to play anyone.  i just want them to get a good win, where they play the type of ball they normally do.  that will help them get over the hump.

Jermaine is listed as day-to-day. They don't when he'll return.

Honestly, I just want a win.

I don't really care if it's 130 to 120 or 75 to 70...I just want a win.

Bargnani's shooting over the past 9 games:

  • Bargnani has made 59 out of 101 shots from the field, for a sizzling 58.4% FG%
  • Bargnani has also hit 24 of 39 three pointers during that period, a mark of 61.5% from downtown
  • He's also taken care of business at the stripe, knocking down 22-27 there for 81.5% FT shooting. Although he's not getting there very much.
  • Bargnani's eFG% over this period has been 70%
  • Bargnani's TS% has been 71.6%

That's impressive shooting. He's on a hot streak right now. Bargnani is scoring about 18-19ppg over this period so he's been prolific too.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
this isn't a good time to play ANYONE.

That was going to be my comment.  When you can't beat a Blazers team without Roy and you lose to the Bobcats and Knicks, who can you feel comfortable beating?  UNC?

If the level of play continues at last night's pace, there isn't a game in this league to feel comfortable about.
