I don't think that Rondo will make it this year. Although he has been playing out of his mind as of late, Devin Harris recently went off for 41 points.  Also there are more popular guards out there in the Eastern Conference such as Allen Iverson.

i think rondo is borderline at this point.  personally, i would rather have him than any of the other east pgs, but i dont think he is seen in the same light across the league.  (which is fine with me....he is the best kept secret!)
