I was just watching ESPN's in depth recap of last night's game and Tim Legler confidently asserted that this year's team is MUCH better than last year's team. And of course, this year's team has a lot of room to improve. Anyhow, Legler's love marks the first time this year I've seen anyone in the national media make such a bold assertion - previously it was all about this team not being as good without Posey.

Of course, the challenge is that even though this team may be much better than last year's team, this year's Cleveland team is much better than last year's team.

thats cool.  i wonder if his motive was to be "different" or if its his sincere assessment.

i think he was the only espn analyst that picked the celts to win before the finals started last year.  legler has seen the (green) light :D

you are correct about that,,,Legler was the only one to pick the C's before the finals. I specifically remember thinking he was the only smart "expert"

did'nt legler jokingly refer to the lakers as the 2008 champs somewhere and then stop himself with a "oh.. wait." i can't remember.i thought it would make sense coming from him.

We ALL noticed that down under.

Got heaps of mates who are Celtic fans and we all loved Legler for having the balls to go against everyone else.

In the end, he was the man who stood alone, the rest were licking their wounds!!!

 :)

Legler isn't teh only one praising the Celtics like that. Barkley never seemed to like us last year, but he considers us way better than anyone else this year.
