KG's future

How many minutes a game do you think KG will be able to log in the final two years of his contract (2010-11 and 2012-13)?

would he be comfortable with 25 minutes off the bench?

I ask because chris Bosh becomes a free agent the same year paul pierce does (2010-11) if pierce took a home town discount we could conceivably compete in the bosh sweepstakes.

we could then field a front line young front line of perk and bosh backed up by the ultimate vet leader KG.

of cource that is a ways away. before then we need to address ray allen's next contract or replacement and pierces contract.

but i'd imagine such a move would ensure a few more titles in beantown.

I think KG would be okay playing around 25 minutes a game as long as he acknowledges that it's best for the team.

I am pretty sure you won't see a Hakeem in Toronto type stint from him.  He's too competitive.  He's already said that when the day comes that he no longer helps his team win, he'll hang it up.

I think that if KG is healthy ( and he appears to be one of those uber athletes likea Jordan or Pieppen or Olajuwan), he could easily play 30-35 minutes a night for the next 4-5 years. He'd only be 35-36 at that point.

If he stays healthy and with his length and skill and athleticism, I could easily see him being highly effective for the next 4-5 years if healthy.

After 36 and again if healthy, if he had the desire to keep playing as a sixth man, I could see him still dominating for another 2-3 years in 20-25 minutes a night.

Just come in and kill you for 20 minutes on both ends.

i think that as he gets older he'll start hitting it shot from further and further out, which will help him keep his body healthy. we already know he's not really a banger (he can) so if he could hit outside shots the lanes would be open off of ball fakes. plus perk will roam free if the opponants PF is out on the 3pt line.

KG's future: He will play out his contract, resign at another 2 years at around 10 million per.

Retire around age 37, skills diminished, a little tired but still passionate. He takes a year off, then becomes an assistant coach, hopefully in boston but possibly somewhere else, especially if Glen Taylor still owns the T-wolves.
