Wow.  I guess I'm not getting resale tickets next year.  Base cost is $262 per ticket for upper half of the balcony?  Am I reading that right?

I have 4 seats (43 games), so it would be going from $75 per ticket this season to $125 per ticket.

I haven't been to a single game yet this year (wife has had health issues), but that's the first time that has happened since I've been a member in 2016 (also from 2007-2013).  I wonder if that has to do with it, like the reddit post suggests.

Thank you all for sharing your own percent increases.  I'll reach out to my rep to see what's going on.

First, best wishes to your wife. Everyone here is thinking of you.

I really feel like the price increase is a ?because we can? increase. No clue who the Redditor is, but it simply doesn?t make sense to me that they are adjusting you based on a half season of attendance. I?m sure that they simply saw an opportunity to capture more of the price gap. I would bet all of my Tommy Points that anyone else in your cohort and section are seeing the same increase.

Thanks Mike.  Things have been on the up thankfully.

Won't get too much into detail, but my rep sent my email to her boss, who confirmed that it is basically entirely to do with resale volume.  He said my attendance rate wasn't high enough in previous seasons either and cited my attendance rates in previous seasons (below 10%).

For me, I often try to go to ~5 regular season games per year + ~1 per playoff round.  More than that has just been too difficult with a young family.  But I don't go to my games all on my tickets.  I usually bring friends, so if they happen to get tickets for a Christmas gift or something, they think of me to invite first.  Also I was very involved with TopShot and Sorare NBA recently where I've gotten some free tickets.  So my attendance rate on my tickets is indeed low -- probably only half of the games I go to.  So I guess I get it from their perspective a bit.  Maybe I'm just not the right clientele for the STM they are looking for.  I'll probably take one more stab to see if I can reduce down to a half-season at a lower % increase or something.  If not, that hike is too much and I'll end up declining and, unfortunately, probably feeling pretty salty about it.

The 25% minimum attendance requirement wasn't an issue with you or do you have other people on the account?

I was completely unaware of this requirement.  I had never seen it or heard of it before until this thread.  Where have you seen it?  A rep has never spoken to me about this either.  In fact during COVID, I thought about dropping my membership because I didn't go so as much anymore after I moved to Lynn (and resale was really bad during that time), but my rep encouraged me to keep it and I did.

Do you know where this requirement has been communicated?  I couldn't find it in any emails I'd been sent or in the Terms and Conditions.

Starting back in the fall of 2024, they had made mention of the 25% attendance policy in a couple of the Celtics Club Green Insider emails.  There had been a thread on it.

How bizarre! It just seems to me that it would be a logistical nightmare to change pricing based on resale volume, but if that?s what they say, so be it.

I wonder if I end up transferring tickets to friends how that counts toward attendance.

As much as I like to comment on how much the Celtics raise ticket prices, at least they are winning.
