I know its not a sports game, but from playing the demo, the concept just intrigues the hell out of me.

for those who havent, give the demo a shot, its quite good, and the game play is fresh and new, something thats been lacking lately.

add into that the multiplayer races and time trials, and i think this games going to be pretty good.

Basic premise, as far as i can tell, can be described as "run, Lola, Run meets Free running"

Its a FPS, but fighting is very much "last resort" you can do it, but one or two shots puts you down, so you need to trick the blues and isolate them if you want to fight.

anyway, enough gushing

i'll post the trailer when i get home, if there's any intrest.

I saw the commercial for it a while back and have been reading up on it as much as possible. It looks awesome, but dizzying. I can barely play FPS's because of motion sickness. I am lame.  :(

It does give a hyper real sense, the demo took some getting used to. the lack of anythign other than a screen really give you a sense of being the avatar, and when you add in the subtle touches (she breaths heavier when running faster, she swings her arms faster at higher speeds, when you jump long distances, you can see her swing her legs forward, when you do a roll onlanding, the camera barrell rolls and the camera bob goes faster as you run, ect.)

the thing to do is focus on the tiny point they give you right in the middle of the screen, it really helps when jumping across gaps to grab things, its where her hands would come together.

the wierdest thing for me, and most fun is it really limits the "detachment" aspect you get in most FPS and games in general by not having anything but the view she's getting in game. I missed a jump in the demo and fell 30 stories to the street, it was a wierd trip down, because i was so engrossed in her view, it felt like i was falling for a sec.

grab the demo of live/ps3 network, and give it a shot, if nothing else, its a unquie game experiance.

That's the thing, I can only play FPS's and 3rd Person games for 15-20 minutes at a time and then get nauseous. Whenever there's a falling motion or perception, I get it too. Perhaps it's for the best, Finals are coming so I need to focus on exam writing anyways..

The concept is great and all, but It will probably be incredibly hard to pull off in a fun way.

The game definitely has the potential to be something special.

The Demo is out so, I'll try and get it on XboxLive.

not at all, demo's awesome.

it only uses 4 buttons in free running mode, all the triggers.

it's very smooth and easy as heck, its only limited by how fast you can think on the run.

example: at one point in the demo, you run into 4 cops, and have to run for it.

the first part around the corner from them is a stairwell, at the top is a door to the roof.

i played it 4 times, and i got up thier 4 diffrent ways.

1. ran up the stairs and booted the door. (obvious works too hehe)

2. grabbed the rails on the stairs and swung on them like monkey bars to get up to an air vent.

3. wall jumped up the middle of stairs (they zig zagged, so the middle was like a cube)

4. wall ran up the first wall, and wall jumped backwards to a ledge above the stairs. i stayed hanging up there till the cops ran by me underneath thinking i had gone in the stair well. dropped down and ran out the other way they had come in. (unfortuantly, there's no way to the roof back where they came from, so i eventually had to go up the stairs. to bad the cops were waiting....it was cool to be able to outsmart them though, and sicne most of the game isn't combined to hallways, i think it will work out in game.)

and thats just the ways i could think of knowing the way to bounce off things in the 20-25 minutes i played. i'm sure if i had sat thier i could have thought of even more stuff to do.

Edit: what im really looking forward to, post single player is the races against people. should be fun to race people over rooftops and through sewars and such :)

at the very least, its an awesome song. :)

(forgive the crappy you tube quality, but i figured this is easier than a link to a site with the high def version, like gametrailers.)
