I definitely have to say the C's. They faced the Lakers, their #1 rival, and beat our nemesis Kobe. And this was in the finals. Sure Tampa Bay is a talented team, but it would have felt like a bigger comeback if the Sox had been playing against the Yankees. I almost expect crazy stuff like blowing 7 run leads from Tampa anyway.

And I think the comebacks in 04 against the Yankees were greater than last night. Just remember game 4, most had given up on the Sox ever getting past the Yankees in our lifetimes to get to the WS. And then they somehow did it with heroics from several players. Games 4 and 5 were better comebacks in my mind, and I'd probably rank them above the C's beating the Lakers in game 4.

I agree with the apples and oranges idea. The C's comback seemed a little easier than what the Sox did last night because you could argue that hitting the ball off the Rays tough bullpen was unbelievable. Also, you didn't expect to see the slumping sox break out in the 7th inning down by 7. They just didn't look like they were in the game at all. But the C's comback was unbelievable also. Its really a toss up, You can argue what sport is tougher to score in. Either way both were unbelievable, I love boston sports when you get to argue what comeback win was better!!! :)

The big differences: Celts game was in the Finals, and they won the series and the championship.

If the Sox come back to somehow win this series and repeat as the champions then I'll probably give them the edge.  Until then, it's what the Celtics did in La La land.

...what he said.  TP4u, for typing the words off my board.

go celts!
"You're skating on pretty thin ice around here, McGee!"
"Sounds like the ice's problem."

2 for the Show!
GO CELTS!

I think the elimination game factors in a great deal more than is being given credit for, but man, they were both pretty flippin' special.  Definite "as good as it gets moments" for Sox & C's.
