Ellsbury Punched in the face???

Does anyone know what happened to Jacoby Ellsbury's right eye.  I was watching the Sox Yanks game last night and notice while he was at bat that his right eye looked bruised.  Did he get hit by a pitch recently or something?

He ran into the wall hard a couple games ago...I think it was from that (the trainer was checking out his eye after the play).

he made an incredible catch against the wall the game before, smashed his face into it.
