Celtics.com to stream games to local residents

I found this to be interesting, but doesn't really do much for me since I live in CT.  Not really sure how big of a deal this would be to people that usually watch the games on TV anyway, but definitely interesting.  What does anyone else think?

"The NBA, according to the story, has authorized its teams to introduce live local streaming on their Web sites for the fall season. Details are still unclear; but in theory, Boston residents would be able to watch the Boston Celtics game on the team's Web site"

What a frustrating premise.  How about they use their website to stream to people that can't watch it locally.  That seems to make a lot more sense to this New York college resident.

I was thinking the same thing.  Wouldn't that be more worthwhile? so that more people could watch games?
