Think about it. Perkins is usually the first guy Doc takes out. TA is too short to play PF. Therefore it's likely to be one of our reserve PF's depending on who Doc's flavor of the week. I'll say Powe until he misses that first defensive rotation. House is another candidate but I think Rajon will have an easier time staying on the court.

I say Tony Allen because he's the only one on the bench who can play 3 positions.

It's the worst of his 3 potential positions and he's done it in the past. Danny was a PG obviously and he thinks Tony can play some point despite his turnover frequency. Tony is an emergency situation at that position, behind Rondo and House.

Sixth man and first man off the bench are not necessarily the same thing. Tony Allen is likely to play the most minutes and have the strongest impact, one way or the other.

  • Anything is possible
I think Tony will be asked to do more, if we go into the season with our roster as currently constructed. He'll have the defensive burden, he'll be asked to attack the basket, and he'll be our second unit's ignition key.

Leon will do some of the same things, but he only truly does a few select things - hustle, finish, and rebound. Anything else is cake. Eddie is, obviously, the shooter.

But all in all, I probably consider TA our sixth man, as once again, he'll be asked to do more on the court. He will probably lead the bench players in minutes, as well.

If we are talking about most minutes off the bench, seems to clearly be TA since he will backup the 2 and 3 without much competition for those minutes.

I think I need Prozac, cause that's the most depressing thing since gas broke 4 dollars a gallon.
