Pass on Tony Allen and his lack of basketball smarts.

As for Ross, he can defend. Right now, we've got no one on the bench who can lock anyone down. We may not have a choice.

As I see it, we have 12 roster spots filled (counting Giddens and Walker), and we have the following needs:

1) Backup SF
2) Backup PG
3) Backup "big"

Tony is a shooting guard who can't really play other positions (the point guard experiment was a disaster).  I would rather prioritize the other positions, and let Giddens attempt to fill Tony's role.

I'd be happy having Tony back on the roster. I don't see any real rush to get it done though. Doesn't seem to be that much interest in him.

I see what you mean, but it's not as easy as just filling a position, we've got to be realistic about whats on the market and all the other intangibles that affect how a player will fit in on this team. I think if we're able to fill all three roles it will happen via trade.
