Ok so ESPN make this article entitled "City High"
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/features/cityhigh in which they made an "all city" team for 8 different cities in the US.
To qualify for the "city team," one must of graduated from a high school within that city, in the past 10 years.
The teams are as follows (I've ranked them, based on my opinion, from best to worst):
1) BaltimorePG - Keith Bogans SG - Kevin Durant SF - Jeff Green PF - Rudy Gay C - Carmelo Anthony (someone has to play C) 6th man - Linas Kliza
2) AtlantaPG - Louis Williams (or "Skip Lou" apparently) SG - Javaris Crittenton SF - Jarvis Hayes PF - Josh Smith C - Dwight Howard 6th man - Randolph Morris
3) L.A.PG - Brandon Jennings SG - Gilbert Arenas SF - Josh Childress PF - Tayshaun Prince C - Ty Chandler 6th man - Jason Kapono
4) ChicagoPG - Derrick Rose SG - Dwayne Wade SF - Corey Maggette PF - Julian Wright C - Eddy Curry 6th man - Quinton Richardson
5) SeattlePG - Martell Webster SG - Jamal Crawford SF - Brandon Roy PF - Marvin Williams C - Spencer Hawes 6th man - Nate Robinson
6) HoustonPG - TJ Ford SG - Daniel Gibson SF - Gerald Green PF - Emeka Okefor C - Perk 6th man - Ndudi Ebi
7) NYPG - Sebastian Telfair SG - Smush Parker SF - Ben Gordon PF - Julius Hodge C - CHarlie Villanueva 6th man - Andre Barrett
8 ) PhiliPG - Jameer Nelson SG - Marty Collins SF - Rasaul Butler PF - Hakeem Warrick C - Eddie Griffin 6th man Tyreke Evans
I had a tough time with teams 1 through 3. Although I rated LA 3rd, i think they would certainly make up the best "team." If these lineups were to play together, they seem like they would fit/gel together the best.
So how would you rate these 8? any surprises? I'm shocked that NY couldnt field a better team than that, same goes for Phili.
