I was just looking at hoopshype's salaries (trying to see how much Scal makes the next 2 years) - and I noticed KG's salary is structured strangely (by NBA standards) - he will make 25 mil this year, then go down to 16 mil, then almost 19, then 21 in his final year (11/12) - I'm thinking the 25 must be the end of his old contract, if not this is a very odd way to structure the deal

regardless, in 11/12, KG is the only guy currently signed, and with a 21 million dollar contract, he'll be a heck of a trading chip for a team looking to clear cap space for whatever class of FAs come out that year....

looking at that 11/12 team, my guess would be PP will be back at a substantial discount, Ray will be long gone, Rajon will be locked up at about 7-8 mil a year and maybe one or two of the other youngsters will still be around...I'm sure Danny will find a way to reload with the financial flexibility the team will have

after that trade is made, McHale would have to rip off his suit to reveal his green jersey with 32 on it...

Terrific, invite McHale to the presser where we reintroduce Al.

well the drop off is because he signed the extension with the celtics. it would pain me to see him traded, even if it were the last year of his deal. i much rather prefer him to become a bench player for us and retire as a c.

Become Legendary.

Yeah, I know it will sound crazy but KG seriously put his money where his mouth is for us.  He could have certainly fought for every dime on his contract with the Celts but he left a lot of money on the table so we have have some semblance of flexibility with the payroll.  Many people overlook that.
